Civil War:
*LEWIS CRANFORD BLACK (aka Louis C.) Co A Reg Div Ga 1861-1865
Deceased 12/07/1912
1Charles S. Black, born August 27, 1828 in Skein, Norway,
died August 4 1913. Served in the 15th Wisconsin Infantry, Company
G. from November 1861, to
January 1865. The 15th joined Sherman in
May 1964 for his march to the sea. I believe that Charles BLACK may
have changed his name to BLACK when he
arrived in America. Any help on how to
find his Norwegian name would be appreciated.
